Situated at Longyang Lake in Wuhan, China, Wuhan Circuit was developed on an empty site as part of the "Wuhan Motorsport Culture Town" venue. The 3.6 km, 13-corner track was designed to integrate with the existing landscape and meets FIA Grade 2 homologation standards.
The venue includes three large grandstands with a total capacity of 18,000 spectators, along with a natural grandstand on the mountain slope that can accommodate approximately 25,000 more. The paddock area features 36 team garages, fire brigade and medical facilities, tire and spare parts areas, a medical center, and a media center. The upper level houses team hospitality suites, VIP areas, race control, timekeeping, offices, a broadcast center, a drivers' briefing room, and two restaurants.
Designed for flexibility, the circuit allows for multiple configurations and provides a balance of safety, technical challenge, and excitement for a variety of vehicles. Venue access and parking were planned around the existing mountain terrain to optimize circulation and site use.
This project was completed through schematic design and has not been developed past this phase.
