Granger High School features a new performing arts theater and support spaces that provide a stand-alone venue for the school and surrounding community to utilize. This state-of-the-art auditorium offers a seating capacity of 1,500, with 1,000 seats on the main floor and 500 in the balcony, accommodating audiences of all sizes. The full fly and notably deep stage provide ample space for larger productions. Key features include an 8-foot-deep orchestra pit beneath the stage thrust, a scenery shop, ample storage for costumes, dedicated dressing rooms, and a versatile black box theater that doubles as a green room. Additionally, the venue boasts orchestra and choir practice rooms, sound-treated booths, and an outdoor amphitheater. The impact-resistant masonry on the curved side walls enhances acoustics while reducing costs. Strategically placed for easy access, the theater facilitates smooth load-ins and load-outs for touring productions. The control station is positioned for optimal acoustics, ensuring high-quality sound for every performance.
