This project involved the restoration of a XIX-century housing building in the historic center of Porto, a city renowned for its granite architecture. The exterior walls, constructed from thick granite masonry, were preserved, while the interior, lost to a fire two decades ago, was rebuilt to accommodate modern needs.

The design maintained the building's original housing program, with one apartment per floor and a small store on the ground level. The stairway was repositioned, and an elevator was added to meet current accessibility standards. The original design of the wooden exterior windows was carefully replicated to preserve the building's historic character, while the roof was finished with ceramic tiles, typical of Portugal's architectural tradition.

This project successfully blends the historical essence of Porto with contemporary functionality, revitalizing a significant building in the city's landscape.
